Since Microsoft purchased Skype earlier this year for a king's ransom (to the tune of $8.5 billion to be exact), there was one question that constantly made its rounds online as well as offline – will Microsoft be incorporating the Skype VoIP software into future Windows Phone releases. The answer is still a definite yes according to industry insiders, but with regards to its status as a standalone application or whether it will come in the form of a software update remains to be seen, but we do know that somehow or rather, Skype will be integrated into the entire setup.
