Japan new super Hero... Testicle-Man!

Totally out of topic but I could not resist sharing with you these photos of a new promotional character for Japanese "Genki Drink" Testicle-Man. To be very honest with you I made-up the "Testicle-man" thing, but I don't know what the company who came with the idea of this promotional ads really though when they came with this super Hero "Golden Hat" but it really look like testis.

They are both ready for action over at the Android Market, with support for Google voice search thrown in alongside Google AutoComplete and Intelligent domain suggest. Those ought to make your search process faster, including when entering a URL, while providing alternative sites to check out just in case you were bored of flipping channels, deciding to surf random websites instead.

DeLorme GPS Handheld Sends SMS Via Satellite

DeLorme's GPS unit lets you send short messages without cellphone coverage. Delorme's InReach GPS Communicator lets you send text messages, even when you are in the wilderness and far away from cellphone coverage. As befits a GPS device, it's all done with satellites. Delorme has teamed up with Iridium, the satellite phone people, to offer a $10-per-month messaging package.

It works in two ways. First of all, you can set three messages before you head out and then “send” any of them direct from the device.

Statuesque audio speakers to the fore!

Statuesque audio speakers to the fore!

Just like a superhero who needs to remain anonymous most of the time, living a dual identity life, along comes this statusque audio speakers that will help stash away your speaker in an extremely discreet manner. How so, you ask. Well, it looks like a piece of fine Italian sculpture, and behind the pupil-less eyes of this bearded fellow are located the speaker's cones. Hopefully they function in a similar manner even when they are pointed away from the room.

The folks over at Soundfreaq are back with a new audio accessory called the SFQ-01W Sound Platform, or just Ghost (it's actually the same sound platform they've been selling all this while, except that it now comes in a stunning white). Designed especially for iOS devices, it features Apple's proprietary port which will allow users to plug in their iPod, iPod Touch, iPhone, or iPad into the speaker dock to listen to music while charging it. However if users want to use their devices while still blasting music through the Ghost, it also supports wireless connectivity through Bluetooth A2DP streaming - but it's going to drain your battery.

Scientists Print Our Solar Cells Using Inkjet Technology

Inkjet printers stopped being cool a long time ago, although they are a cheaper alternative to laser printers if you don't mind waiting. However it looks like the inkjet still has its uses, and its latest use is by far its most noble one. It seems that scientists from Oregon State University (OSU) have managed to print solar cells using an inkjet printer. They claim to be the first to put together a “CIGS” solar device, through the use of inkjet printing.

GoPro cameras are known for being lightweight, rugged and wearable cameras that a lot of folks use to record themselves performing extreme activities (i.e. snowboarding, sky diving, surfing, racing etc) when having someone else to film the event won't do. After all, nothing can capture the thrilling experience of a first person view as accurately as a camera that's strapped to your helmet. People have even attached the camera to hunting dogs just to see how they hunt.

Did Verizon Reject Motorola Gingerbread Updates for Being Overly Buggy?

When Verizon’s Droid X received its update to Gingerbread, we hoped it would mean smooth sailing for the rest of the carriers high-end handsets from Motorola on their path to Android 2.3. A Gingerbread “soak test” followed shortly for the Droid 2 Global, but a few weeks later the update has yet to rollout to the general public. So what gives. According to a report by DroidLife, Verizon hasn’t been all that pleased with the quality of the updates being provided by Motorola.

Remember the HTC Status, or better known as the HTC ChaCha, which will arrive over at AT&T. This is the first of what could possibly be a bunch of “Facebook phones” – handsets that feature a dedicated Facebook button. What you see here is not an official image but a leak, where you will find the famous “F” button (implying Facebook, of course), letting you post onto your own wall or others in a jiffy with but a single button press. Bear in mind that this will be a mid-range handset, so do not expect all the bells and whistles of a high end model to come along with it.

Sony Vaio Z Puts Graphics Card in Thunderbolt-Connected Box

Sony Vaio Z Puts Graphics Card in Thunderbolt-Connected Box

Sony's Vaio Z comes with the world's biggest dongle. While it is deemed acceptable to connect a subwoofer to your stereo, and external battery or speaker to your phone or a giant external monitor to your laptop, putting normally essential — and internal — laptop components in external boxes is kind of taboo. It harks back to the dark days of the 90s, when carrying a laptop meant carrying a black nylon bag containing a heavy Dell notebook, an external DVD burner, a few spare batteries and a power-brick the size of a modern netbook.

HTC's success over the past two and a half years has been attributed to the rapid adoption of Android and it's many devices.  While HTC may not be the biggest player in the smartphone sector, we do know that they have a commanding lead over the competition when it comes to Android.  As Android grows, so goes HTC.  It might not be too far of a stretch to say that the success of Android is due to the innovations and great hardware that HTC keeps pushing out the door.  We'll let you decide on that one.

It has gotten to a point where most of the big search engines can provide you with all the services you need without having to switch sites. Because of this, search engines have to work hard at expanding their services to provide new features not present in the competition. One such feature from Google that was recently discovered is “What do you love?”.
