Xiaomi is a Chinese company. Even though it is quite popular in its home country, its smartphones sold out the iPhone, it doesn't have much reach outside the country's borders, particularly in the West. That might be about to change though, since Xiaomi poached former Google Android executive Hugo Barra to head its growth in the international market. The company has launched a new “smart TV” which touts impressive specs for a relatively low price tag. Called MiTV, it has a 47 inch 3D LCD display made by Samsung or LG, a quadcore Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 1.7GHz processor, 2GB RAM, 8GB internal storage, Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi.
