After appearing alongside the Moto X on MotorolaÂ's website the other day, the yet to be announced Moto G showed up yet again. This time, an image of the smartphone, along with some alleged specs made the rounds on Twitter. Reportedly, the Moto G will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro SoC with 1.5GHz quad-core CPU. The display is said to be a 4.7x720p unit.

Moving your mouse around with your hands is so 1963 as technology has advanced to a point where we can use other parts of our bodies in order to move around our desktop's cursor. We've seen cameras that are able to track our bodies and eyes to figure out what we want to do with our desktop cursor, but a team of researchers at Kinki University in Japan have developed a way to move your mouse with nothing more than your breath. The researchers from Kinki University's Biology-Oriented Science and Technology Department showed off their prototype recently to reporters. The device uses a tube that is placed within the user's mouth.

Time Warner Cable Boosting Internet Data Speeds In Select Markets

Time Warner Cable hasn't been having the greatest year with its customers as they stopped carrying CBS for around two months, resulting in the loss of 117,000 customers. 24,000 broadband customers also jumped shipped this year, although Time Warner Cable will be upping the speed of their Internet service as a way to entice customers to return as well as keep their current subscribers happy for putting up with the company's shenanigans.

Hurricane Sandy ravaged the streets and neighborhoods of the east coast a year ago, but as with any natural disaster you don't exactly overcome the effects overnight. The Mountain View company has decided to donate 17,000 Nexus 7 tablets to New York folks (with various libraries, schools, and other institutions getting a majority of them). Nexus 5 Unboxed Image Leaks

Leaks and rumors about the Nexus 5 have been coming in from all directions almost every single day. Still Google is tight-lipped about when it intends to make the official announcement. We've seen press renders of this smartphone being leaked online, we've also seen it make an appearance on video. Today, the first Nexus 5 unboxed image has hit the internet. The image shows off the blue box widely associated with the Nexus 5, also seen before, and what appears to be a Nexus 5 unit.

NanoLeaf may be the world's most energy efficient light bulb

We just bought a condo, and we've been buying things we need to get it set up.  One of the things we purchased was a bunch of CFL bulbs for three floor lamps and a couple of new bathroom fixtures.  We paid $100 for those bulbs, but at least I know I'll be saving electricity and that the bulbs will have a longer life than incandescent bulbs.  My initial outlay would have been much higher if I could have purchased these NanoLeaf bulbs now, but my long-term savings promise to be much higher than I'll see with the CFLs.

Lenovo just announced two new Android Tablets (4.2.2), called Yoga Tablet 10 and Yoga Tablet 8. They are very affordable tablets ($249 and $299) designed around large battery capacities of 6000mAh and 9000mAh (for reference the iPad 4 had around 11000mAh, and the Nexus 7 2013 has 3950mAh), thanks to their very particular design. The battery is housed into the circular section at the top of the display, which allows Lenovo to use standard cylindrical batteries instead of custom flat ones which are much more expensive. Lenovo then sought to make the best use of that volume by turning it into a stand and an effective grip.

Sprint has officially announced that it will be expanding its LTE coverage to 45 new markets in order to provide an enhanced experience to its consumers. In addition to the new markets (full list available here), the Sprint 4G LTE network will be expanding to cover several parts of Manhattan, Queens and Staten Island, N.Y. This latest expansion brings the total number of markets covered by the Sprint ultra-fast services to 230.
Along with its 4G LTE network expansion, Sprint has also said it has enhanced its 3G services and had improved the overall coverage, signal strength and the call quality.

US auto production expected to hit 14-year high in 4Q

Despite having fewer manufacturing plants than 1999, when US auto production reached an all-time fourth-quarter high of 4.28-million units, US factories are expected to make 4.02-million light vehicles in the period from October to December, Wards Auto reports. It would mark the best fourth quarter in 14 years, and the fourth best ever. It's predicted that Ford, Chrysler and General Motors will each build more light vehicles in the fourth quarter than they have in the last six years. It'll reportedly be Ford's best since 2005, Chrysler's best since 2006 and GM's best since 2007.

We've yet to hear from Google about the launch event of Nexus 5 and Android 4.4 KitKat. Obviously the primary event is going to take place here in the U.S., probably in California, but it appears that there's a separate press conference planned in Tel-Aviv, Israel on November 5th. It is not immediately evident if Google is going to take part in this press conference, but LG appears to be involved. The invites show off a generic looking smartphone with a KitKat bar stuffed in it, its most likely a hint of what to expect from the press conference.

Dexter Comes To Netflix This Halloween

Your favorite fictional serial killer is coming to a Netflix compatible device near you this Halloween. It was announced today that Netflix and CBS Corporation have signed a content licensing agreement which will bring all eight seasons of the hit TV show Dexter to Netflix subscribers in the U.S. The first four seasons of this show will be available to watch instantly this Halloween, that's October 31st. The remaining four seasons will be available come January 1st, 2014. Dexter wrapped up its eighth and final season earlier this year, after a record breaking run on the network.

China Mobile teases LTE network ahead of iPhone 5s launch

China Mobile has posted a teaser page of its upcoming 4G LTE network. The most popular carrier in China will also start offering the Apple iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C to complement the launch of its high-speed mobile network. According to the teaser, the rollout of the LTE network will take place from November 9 to November 10.

Word around the block is that Motorola and Verizon are getting ready to issue some upgrades to their latest handsets soon. Members of Motorola's feedback community are receiving invitations to partake in a soak test for the Motorola DROID Ultra, DROID MAXX, and DROID Mini soon, which means we are right around the corner from an official upgrade going out over-the-air to owners of the handsets. It was just a few days ago when we spotted what looks to be a press render for the Google Nexus 10, and today, the upcoming tablet was reportedly accidentally leaked briefly on the Google Play Store. The leak resulted in its specs to be published for all to see, which some Internet detectives made sure to make a note of. According to PhoneArena, the Google Nexus 10 may feature a 10-inch 2560 x 1600 screen similar to its predecessor, a Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor, 3GB of RAM, a main 8MP camera and a 9500mAh battery.

[Discussion] The best looking Android phones of all time

The latest leak of the white Nexus 5 has made me think of how far the design of Android devices has come. Historically, there were always a couple of above-average looking phone for consumers to choose from, but in the last year or two we have seen a spate of handsets that look really appealing, with many considering it an important factor in their decision-making. Apparently our favorite internet search giant is building a Google Glass Store in San Francisco Bay, this according to KPIX which claims that it has learnt that Google is building a “floating marketing center” just to promote its wearable gadget. Only recently a rather mysterious barge was spotted moored to Treasure Island, San Francisco. There's a large structure built on top of the barge that's raising obvious questions. CNET weighed in as well, voicing the possibility that perhaps its a new data center for Google.

Refreshed 2014 Honda Civic Coupe to bow at SEMA

Honda has announced plans to bring a refreshed, 2014 Honda Civic Coupe to the 2013 SEMA Show, set to kick off on November 5. Honda's struggles with the ninth-generation Civic have been widely publicized, and while the 2013 model year sedan has seen a significant overhaul, the two-door is now getting some additional enhancements for 2014. Honda has released one teaser image of the Civic Si Coupe to go along with the announcement, but we can discern a few things. The Si Coupe now features a larger rear spoiler, along with a restyled, more aggressive rear bumper, complete with a diffuser.

Hyundai is certainly bringing the horsepower wars to Las Vegas next month. We already know that its SEMA lineup includes a 1,000-horsepower Genesis Coupe, but now the company has announced that it is teaming up with Fox Marketing to create a 370-hp Veloster Turbo. Keeping the Turbo's 1.6-liter engine, this show car gets an extra 169 hp by adding a bigger turbo and intercooler, cat-back exhaust and nitrous and methanol injection. oh, and the engine runs on 101-octane racing fuel. There are titan rivalries – 911 vs GT-R, Ferrari vs Lamborghini, Viper vs 'Vette – and there are smaller ones. But the smaller ones can be just as fierce. Like the rivalry between the Daihatsu Copen and Honda Beat. Both were Kei roadsters built by major Japanese automakers with tiny form factors and even tinier engines. And while their production runs didn't overlap, they straddled the turn of the millennium close enough that they bred close comparison.
