A mechanical engineer from the Netherlands has been developing a project that he hopes would eventually enable humans to have their own set of wings. Jamos Smeet's Human Birdwings project uses a combination of HTC Wildfire S, a Wii remote, and his knowledge on software development to create a pair of wings that can be controlled by a human as he wave his arms as if flying. The project stemmed from Smeet's dream of being able to fly and so far, it looks promising.
