It has long been rumored that Apple will be tapping Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. or TSMC to build the chips for its mobile devices. This move has been anticipated for a long time, as Apple is quite obviously distancing itself from one of its toughest rivals, Samsung. The Korean company, despite being embroiled in several lawsuits against Apple, produced chips for the Cupertino outfit.

Verizon's Motorola Droid Xyboard tablets will be updated to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean

Well, this is something that doesn't happen often. The carrier-specific versions of the Xyboard tablets by Motorola (specifically, those for Verizon) will get a software update, whereas the Wi-Fi-only models won't. Yes, you read that right. And no, we haven't gotten it backwards. Things usually tend to happen the exact other way round, with Wi-Fi-only tablets getting a lot more updates than carrier-specific models. But such is life in the Android world, it brings us surprises sometimes.

Motorola has updated the website where it lists information about future software upgrades (or lack thereof) for its devices.

Android 4.3 build for the Google Edition Samsung Galaxy S4 leaked, can be installed on 'normal' S4 too

Android 4.3 was expected in mid-May when Google held its annual developer conference. Yet the new software version didn't get announced then. Later we heard that the ‘Nexus experience' or ‘Google edition' HTC One that just went on sale a couple of days ago would get updated to Android 4.3 ‘a few weeks after release'. So everyone assumed that the new bits would arrive sometime in July. And that very well may be the case after all.

See, an Android 4.3 build for the ‘Google edition' Samsung Galaxy S4 has been leaked today. This is supposedly a testing firmware, so there may still be issues here and there.

Both Google Play editions of the HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S4 were made available for purchase just a few days ago, and already we've seen the ROM for the Google Play Edition version of the HTC One makes its way onto the Internet. Merely hours after that ROM was released, SamMobile now claims they have an early 4.3 build for the Samsung Galaxy S4, which was reportedly spotted earlier today. SamMobile claims the ROM they have is from the Google Play Edition variant of the Samsung Galaxy S4 and is completely functional when tested on other Galaxy S4s, although there's no way to verify their claim.

The third practice day of the 91st Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is done. While the other classes got running time on the middle and top sections of the course, qualifying times were set on the bottom section of the course for the Open, Open Wheel, Electric, Exhibition and Vintage classes. Red HTC One announced for the UK

HTC UK has unveiled a red version of its One flagship smartphone – “Glamour Red”, to be exact. This will be exclusively available at Phones4U starting mid-July. It looks like customers won't be able to buy it unlocked, at least not for the beginning. Instead, Phones4U will offer the red HTC One on plans starting at £33 per month.

This will be HTC One's third color version, after silver and black (both already available). We've heard that a blue edition might also be introduced, but there's nothing official about this for now.

It's not clear if HTC will launch the red One in markets other than the UK.

HTC is pushing out yet another software update to the unlocked and Developer Edition HTC One. The 17.5MB update is said to include “system enhancements” which should improve the performance of the HTC One. We're still hoping the Android 4.2 update will be released soon, but it's nice to see HTC working to constantly improve the HTC One and squash any bugs in their custom software. If your HTC One has not yet received the 1.29.1540.17 update, you can manually ping HTC's servers by going to Settings > About > Software updates > Check now.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 might have a black version

Earlier this month, when Samsung unveiled its new Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 and Galaxy Tab 3 10.1, it only showed the tablets in white color versions. Since then, we've seen both of them in brown, and now even a black edition of the Tab 3 8.0 has been spotted. Techtastic posted some photos allegedly showing the black Tab 3 8.0 - which isn't completely black, as it has a silver trim and a white home button.
We don't know if the brown and black Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 will be available at the same time with the white one.

Although Apple may consider launching 4.7 inch and 5.7 inch iPhones, that will certainly not happen this year. Instead, the Cupertino company will most likely introduce a new and cheap iPhone model, alongside a successor to the iPhone 5 - which should be called iPhone 5S, or iPhone 6. DigiTimes reports that the cheap iPhone will be manufactured by Pegatron, which plans to start shipping it in August. According to previous rumors, this iPhone has a plastic-made case, and could be sold for $99.99 in the US (on contract).

Gashapon is usually used for something fun mainly for kids. When kids got a small amount of money from their parents, they run to the Gashpon machines and compete to collect as many toys as possible with their friends. However, recently it's been changing.
