The iPhone 5 launch guessing game continues. A few weeks ago, everyone has pegged September as a most likely release date for next generation iPhone. There were even rumors about AT&T cancelling all employee vacations for the launch.
Now AllThingsD has it that there won't be any new iPhone  this September. Instead, Apple will have a surprise event sometime in the second half of October for iPhone 5x4s.
And it sort of makes sense.
Apple usually does have a major launch event in September. But more often then not - the launch is mostly about  music business/iPods.
Unwired View, iPhone 5 launch only in late October
