An Israel-based startup introduces a unique gadget that creates a social network of relevant people who carry the same device. The magnetU, which the company of the same name describes as a “proximity networking” device, compares your profile to fellow users within short distances. When two magnetU's find a match, they alert their respective owners through SMS or mobile app. The alert also informs the user how “strong” the match is as well as whatever contact information the device owners have allowed in their privacy settings.
The devices also allow physical interactivity with each other.
