I personally do not have a soft spot for proprietary standards, but that does not really matter to huge corporations who, from time to time, want to roll out a proprietary format so that you will remain their loyal customer at all times. Well, the Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA), HomePlug Powerline Alliance and HD-PLC Alliance today announced that DLNA has given its nod of approval for both HomePlug AV and HD-PLC Powerline networking standards to be incorporated into the next version of its Networked Device Interoperability Guidelines.
