Verizon and Motorola have just announced that the 4G LTE upgrade promised to those who purchased the XOOM tablet via the wireless provider will begin tomorrow for all existing owners. The upgrade, which was initially offered to a small group of test users, requires owners to ship their tablets back to Motorola for the installation of an LTE radio and a software re-flash that will enable support for 4G. Instructions for completing the upgrade can be found over at Verizon’s site.
