Japanese Court Rules in Favor of Samsung, Rejects Apple's Patent Infringement Claims

A court in Tokyo has sided with Samsung in its worldwide patent battle with Apple, ruling that the South Korean conglomerate did not infringe on Apple's patents. This comes after a nine-member federal jury in San Jose, California, ruled in Apple's favor and punished Samsung with over $1 billion worth of damages. Meanwhile, a three-judge panel in South Korea found that both companies copied from each other's patents and banned the sale of several Apple and Samsung devices in the country.
