Lately, Opel has shown no signs of slowing down, with news of new models popping up with regularity. But while most of those models are based on the Astra, Opel's newest offering could be based on the larger Insignia, taking the shape of a crossover. This isn't the first time Opel has toyed with the idea of a large crossover, having worked on such a project that was shelved in 2008 when the economy collapsed.
