The Motorola Atrix 4G for AT&T may be one top of the line smartphone, but it has one weakness – it runs Android 2.2 Froyo, an operating system version that's been around for a year. And, in the Android world, that's a lot. So a newer version of the OS has already become available for more than six months, and that is, of course, Android Gingerbread. According to the folks over at BriefMobile, the Atrix 4G is going to be finally updated to Gingerbread sometime in July. There's no exact date yet, as software versions are still being tested by Motorola and AT&T.
